ACTING FOR SCREEN AND FILMMAKING INSTRUCTORS SOUGHT

Filmbites Youth Film School, Perth’s own unique film school for young people, is seeking two instructors for classes in the Hills area.

Filmbites is an award winning film school which focuses on teaching acting and filmmaking skills in a fun and supportive environment. Classes are semester-based – first semester is skills-based, while in second semester the students are guided to produce a short film.

The instructors must have a Working with Children Check, or be willing to attain one, and have an interest in working with young people and nurturing their development and acting/film skills. Training can be given to suitable applicants as necessary, and all instructors will be given special instructor training prior to commencement.

The instructors will teach the following classes to home-schooled students:

Acting for the screen:
Seeking an actor with screen experience, some teaching and filmmaking experience is preferred, although film training provided to suitable applicants.
9.15 – 10.45 Swan View
11.30 – 12.30 (Junior acting 6 to 9 yr olds - Glen Forrest )
1 – 2.30 (Senior acting 10 to 14 yr olds - Glen Forrest )

Film:
Seeking a filmmaker with production experience and preferably some teaching experience.
10.30 - 12.30 (Senior film 10 to 14 yr olds - Glen Forrest )
1 – 2.30 (Junior film 6 - 9 yr olds - Glen Forrest )

Teaching at Filmbites is a rewarding experience, where you will receive full training and support. Filmbites is growing each semester, and it is hoped the instructor will be able to teach more classes in the future.

Classes commence on Tuesday 16th February and run as per the school term.
