adminUPDATE: JC Casting have filled all the female extra positions but are in urgent need of men aged 40+
JC Casting invites applications for Extras to work on the 6-hour mini-series "Cloudstreet", based on the novel by Tim Winton. Shooting is to take place in and around Perth between February and May 2010. All extras will be paid at MEAAActors Equity rates and you don't have to be a member to apply.
As this is a "period" piece, set in the 1940s - 1960s, there is a specific look required - e.g. men with short back & sides hair (or willing to have their hair cut); no piercings, no tattoos on forearms or legs; ladies without obvious colouring in their hair; and generally people of smaller rather than more generous proportions - they weren't as well fed as many of us are these days!
We need lots of people, men in particular, so if you are interested, please send a recent photo (less than 1MB) and a short resume detailing your name, contact details including e-mail address, height, date of birth, hobbies and interests and any previous performance experience.
We are looking for all age groups and there is one scene in particular that will take place in the hills area, so we encourage anyone from Mundaring and surrounds to be in touch.
Please apply in writing by 2nd February 2010 to casting@jccasting.com.au or PO Box 379, Leederville 6903. We will be in touch with you if and when we can find something suitable, which will only happen once we have a schedule in place.
Thanks, acting community of Perth! We look forward to your submission.

hey i tried to send an email to that address but it didn't work. I know I can speak for others when I say that email is a lot more convenient than writing a letter. Maybe it is a typo or something but I have tried multiple times.
